Maybe the game was easier at launch when the guides were written? Maybe 150cc was much easier at launch? I don't know but I would not recommend starting on 150cc now. So I'm thinking once you get the upgraded spoilers, the time trials will became possible. The game seem setup to get you to play on 50cc first to unlock the spoilers to upgrade your carts before moving onto 100cc and 150cc. So if you start at 150cc, you'll have no upgrades, but the AI will, and they will trounce you. The cart spoilers you unlock in the grand prixs give your carts extra stats, speed, handling etc. Don't try to do the time trials first, or at least don't try to get the Gold times right away.Īlso ignore any of the guides telling you to start at 150cc, that's nonsense.
